Blizzard Asks Druid Community To Drop Pants, Bend Over

Posted by senseichow on March 20, 2007

Just read this and I couldn’t stop laughing.

There may be some of you out there who haven’t heard of World of Warcraft.

I don’t understand why, but hey, whatever. I’m not judging.

For a long time druids were the most pitied class of WoW; playing an odd hybrid role of second rate healer and third or fourth rate just about everything else.

Then The Burning Crusade came out and people were like, “OMGWTFBBQ! Druids are actually fun to play now.” The class had been buffed across the board – with considerable improvements to tanking, feral and moonkin dps, and even healing.

Now they’re saying, “Oops! Despite the extensive closed and open beta testing for The Burning Crusade we’ve gone a bit too far.” They’ve now gone and nerfed the class across much of the aforementioned board, with considerable extra nerfage to tanking and feral dps.

So after giving druids a glorious couple of months in which they were actually wanted in groups, they’ve been relegated to the role of backup priest yet again.

Guess they didn’t actually mean to make druids useful after all.

Parallels and full speed gaming

This has been well digg’d already, but is worth checking out. If you really could run the latest, tastiest PC games on a Mac, at native/near native speeds, without ever having to leave the comfort of your own OS X………

There’s really no reason to deny yourself one of the sweet sweet Mac Pros.

I’ll be watching this one with interest.
